Quite a bit.
I'll try and make it better.
Sorry guys.
Here's a song to make up for it all.

Smoothie Post 2!

Need a morning pick me up? Kristy has a few words of wisdom on the subject!!

"TROPICAL BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen tropical fruit (pineapple important)
1c milk
1/4c pina colada mixer (the stuff you get to mix with booze, but no booze in the shake at breakfast)
1tbsp vanilla protein powder

Mix for as long as the blender remains entertaining to watch."

SOUNDS TASTY!

Smoothie Post 1

This is from Emma Houlahan, a very close and wonderful friend of mine. Thank you for keeping track of my blog, dear.

"Since Sydney never really carried out this smoothie experiment, I thought I'd help out by making one of my own. This is a really yummy smoothie that tastes great even if you add protein powder or flaxseed oil to make it a little bit healthier.

BANANA SPLIT SMOOTHIE!
Ingredients:
2 bananas
8 oz. crushed pineapple, drained
1 1/4 cup of milk
1/2 cup of unsweetened strawberries (frozen or fresh)
2 tbs. honey
6-8 ice cubes
1 scoop of vanilla ice cream (optional... I didn't use it and it was still super yummy)

Preparation:
Combine bananas, strawberries, pineapple, milk, and honey in a blender. Blend until smooth, no lumps. Start adding ice slowly and blending until slushy. Pour into large glasses, then garnish with whipped cream, and maraschino cherries. The perfect banana split in a glass. Mmmmm."

Smoothie Time!

For the next month, I'll be testing smoothie flavours! Every Monday, I'll pick and choose fruits that you would never think would go together or ones you've never even heard of and blending them all together.

Today's smoothie of the week: Tangy Apple Express!
1 apple (peeled and de-seeded, finely chopped for easy blending),
2 bananas,
3 cups orange juice
and 1 cup cranberry juice.
Tastes grrrrreat! You can definitely taste the tangy cranberries and the citrusy oranges with a subtle hint of the apple and banana. Wonderful choice of fruit!!

Do you have a smoothie adventure or preference you'd like to share? Post a comment on this blog or the Facebook group!!

Yet Another Snowy Story!

Posted by Robin Jumps of Perth, Ontario (or Ottawa...where ever she was on that particular day..)

"Dear Diary.

Today I cleaned my room and had a mad rush to finish a project for tomorrow. Since it was a group project, I have had facebook-collaboration-panic for a large part of the day. This is a new experience for me, and after some reflection, I have decided I don't enjoy it. I drank an entire container of smoothie, and ate half a loaf of bread, and a bowl of chili. And two donuts. And some cheese. I also discovered blogs.
I liked cleaning my room. I did so in the company of Feist, Harmonium, Morlove, and Neil Gaiman. It was good. Plus, now I have room to paint, which was the goal.

Sincerely,
Your most devoted and avid adventurer."

More from Sean Jacklin of Guelph, Ontario!

After an hour of use. One of the rails has come off. The aluminum is a bit worse for wear.

A few beer can do a lot of damage to a homemade sled.
